Viewing the Palace of Westminster from this vantage point has always been part of my inspiration. So how happy was I to be able to paint my impressionistic rendition of the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Bridge. Several inspirations for this piece which is based on one of my photos taken a few years ago. At the time I painted this piece the scaffolding completely covers the Clock Tower, which is undergoing renovations. Big Ben won't chime again until 2021. Until then, enjoy this colourful sky and scene capturing some of the energy of this wonderful city.
